In this exciting role, you will manufacture, assemble, and finish high-quality sheet metal components to tight tolerances. Your expertise will ensure that every piece meets rigorous standards, making a real difference in our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Manufacture sheet metal components to fine tolerances (e.g., +/- 0.1mm).
Operate fabrication equipment, including:
- Press brake
- Guillotine
- Rollers
- Punching machines
- Perform precise measurements and inspections with tools like verniers and micrometers.
- Carry out various welding processes, primarily TIG and MIG welding.
- Ensure all welds meet quality and structural standards.
- Conduct finishing processes, including grinding, deburring, and polishing.
- Work with a variety of materials, such as stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment in line with health & safety procedures.
- Support continuous improvement and uphold high workmanship standards.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication.
- Demonstrated ability to work to tight tolerances.
- Strong TIG and/or MIG welding experience.
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings.
- High attention to detail and quality.
- Competent with precision measuring equipment.
- Excellent manual dexterity and practical skills
